Share of foreigners in the population — Sailly-Lez-Lannoy

The indicator represents the share of foreigners in the population.

According to the INSEE definition, a foreigner is a person who resides in France and does not have French nationality, either because he has another nationality (exclusively) or that he has none (this is the case of stateless persons). Persons of French nationality with another nationality (or more than one) are considered in France as French. A foreigner is not necessarily an immigrant, he may be born in France (minors in particular). Unlike that of an immigrant, the quality of a foreigner does not always last throughout life: it is possible, provided that the legislation in force allows it, to become French by acquisition.

本指标表征人口中外籍人士的占比情况。

根据法国国家统计与经济研究所（INSEE）的定义，外籍人士指在法国定居且不具备法国国籍的个人，这类人群要么仅持有他国国籍，要么不具备任何国籍（即无国籍人士）。拥有他国国籍（或多国国籍）的法国国籍人士，在法国境内仍被视作法国公民。

外籍人士未必等同于移民，其可能出生在法国（尤以未成年群体为甚）。与移民身份不同，外籍身份并非终身不变：只要符合现行法律规定，即可通过归化方式取得法国国籍。
