Pesquisa egressos UFS 2020

This database refers to a survey conducted with alumni of the Federal University of Sergipe between January 7 and February 5, 2020. Of the 3,092 responses obtained, 685 were part of the target population of our research, which consists of individuals who had graduated from one of the in-person undergraduate programs and who had entered the University since 2013, the year the Quota Law (No. 12.711/2012) came into effect. According to the University's records database, this alumni population corresponded, at the time of data collection, to 3,434 individuals—giving us a sample fraction of 19.95%. Because the sample was obtained non-randomly, the data received a statistical treatment to circumvent the self-selection bias of respondents, known as Raking. This method was developed to address non-response problems in online surveys about American elections. In short, this involves weighting the sample to represent the conditions of the entire population based on a set of available information. In addition to questions regarding year of entry, year of graduation, and method of admission (through quotas or open competition), respondents were also asked about their socioeconomic and academic profiles, as well as their job market performance.
