Scale-Dependent Effects of Landscape Heterogeneity on Butterfly Functional and Taxonomic Diversity in Andean Urban Parks

DATASET 1. Butterfly Species and Abundance Data: This dataset includes a list of 15 butterfly species observed in 15 urban parks in Bogotá, Colombia. It contains the abundance of each species during three field trips, conducted in September 2021, November 2021, and January 2022. The data was collected through direct observation and the use of van Sommeren Rydon traps, covering the parks systematically without repeating routes.
DATASET 2. Habitat Variables at Local and Landscape Scales: This dataset presents the habitat variables for the 15 parks, collected at multiple spatial scales. The local scale includes 15 variables describing the vegetation structure and land cover within each park (e.g., tree density, crown diameter, and flower richness). The landscape scale includes variables measured at radii of 250m, 500m, 750m, and 1000m around each park, such as the area of different park types, impervious surfaces, and proximity to water bodies. These variables serve as predictors in statistical analyses to understand butterfly taxonomic and functional diversities in relation to park characteristics.
