2 m buffer strips along streams covered by section 69 of the Watercourses Act. The dataset is established for the purpose of acting as indicative registration in accordance with section 69 of the Watercourse Act for use by the municipality’s case handlers/environmental management and citizen information. All watercourses in land zone are covered except: — single-man-owned streams – artificial streams which are not highly targeted according to the regional plan – piped streams. The limit provision applies to all streams located in the land zone, see. section 34, paragraph 4, of the law on planning, and which are natural or high-targeted. For watercourses that are partly in the urban zone or holiday home area and partly in the rural zone, only the rural zone part is covered by the buffer determination. The buffer strips must ensure the breadth of the stream in a stable state and protect the width from slipping. They shall be measured from the place where the upper edge of breadth is aligned with the field. This marks the outer edge of the strip against the water. Thus, the slope towards the stream or the lake does not count in the 2-metre margin. There must be no soil treatment within the cultivation-free strip. You can make hay on the area. If there are grazing livestock in the adjacent field, the fence must, as a rule, be outside the cultivation-free strip.
