Launched on July 20, 2007, this database has had trial registration made mandatory by the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) since June 15, 2009. As the primary registry of the International Clinical Trials Registry Platform (ICTRP), CTRI ensures that all human clinical trials conducted in India complete prospective registration prior to recruiting their first participant.
