Project was undertaken to characterise faecal microbiota of Angus Cattle with divergent average daily weight gain between weaning and yearling stages of growth. Rectal faecal samples were obtained from cattle weighed at weaning and yearling stages, and DNA extracted from faecal samples of 20 cattle with the highest or lowest average daily gains were subjected to 16S rRNA gene sequencing.
