CCR2+ monocytes were isolated from the lung of CCR2-GFP reporter mice that were infected with Aspergillus fumigatus for 48 hours. Monocytes were obtained from neutrophil-depleted mice and from control antibody treated mice at 48 hrs after Aspergillus fumigatus infection. Monocytes from the lung of naive control mice were also obtained. Monocytes were obtained at >98% purity by fluorescence activated cell sorting prior to RNA extraction and subsequently examined by RNA-sequencing.
