The current project aims at obtaining complete genome sequence of Leptospira kobayashii E30 strain. The bacterium was isolated from a soil sample in Gifu, Japan and named in honor of Yuzuru Kobayashi, a Japanese physician and microbiologist who introduced monoclonal antibodies for the classification of Leptospira. The complete genome sequence was obtained by hybrid assembly approach using the reads from MiSeq and GridION.
