资源简介:
This experiment was conducted to observe the gaping behaviour during spawning. Gaping is the alternate closing and opening of a shell. The dataset consists of values from six oysters which include time, sensor data, and temperature in a CSV data file. Sensor data is the distance between the sensor and magnet in mm. Initial readings are of a closed Oyster (Minimum Sensor Magnet Distance). The experiment was carried out at a hatchery in Pass Christian, Mississippi. Oysters were spawned on the last day 9/10. Spawning took place at the last 2 hours of the data set on September 10th. Induced spawning was for a total period of less than one hour after which the experiment was terminated. Data was transmitted over WiFi (Transmission rates may vary). This dataset supports the publication: Ali, A., Ali, K., Ukpebor, A., Hasan, M., Addy, J., Ikome, O., & Abu-El Humos, A. (2019).
