EnergAIze: dynamically downscaled extreme events using the regional climate model COSMO-CLM
收藏资源简介:
As part of EnergAIze, eight selected extreme weather events (four extreme precipitation and four extreme wind) over Austria were simulated using two regional climate models: WRF and COSMO-CLM. Each event was initialized with the reanalysis dataset ERA5, a lead time of 10 days and simulated in high resolution (1.66 km for WRF and 2 km for COSMO-CLM) in order to analyse the performance under extreme conditions. For the dynamically downscaled extreme events, the Regional Climate Model COSMO-CLM was used over Austria with a 2km spatial resolution. Here, the COSMO-CLM dataset for one representative event (2021/01/13-2021/01/15) is published as NetCDF format. The data is available on an hourly basis and comprises several meteorological parameters (Total Precipitation, 10m Wind Speed, Surface Downward Solar Radiation, Surface Pressure, Cloud Fraction, 2m Temperature). The datasets for the remaining events are available upon request. Additional simulations for the same event using the Regional Climate Model WRF are published here: https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.15853653
