Replication package for: Weather-Related Facility Shocks and Observed Compliance Strain

This archive contains the results replication package for “Weather-Related Facility Shocks and Observed Compliance Strain: Environmental Work Under Disruption”, submitted to refereed journal. The package reproduces the submitted aggregate tables and figures using two paths. The main executable path starts from bundled cleaned processed analysis panels and recreates the submitted tables, figures, and diagnostic outputs. A second raw-source path provides detailed download and reconstruction instructions for NOAA weather events, FEMA disaster declarations, EPA ECHO/FRS compliance data, EPA GHGRP, EPA TRI, SEC EDGAR, Census geography, and auxiliary market data. Raw public files are not bundled because they are large, source-maintained, and periodically refreshed. The empirical design studies first major acute weather-related facility shocks among U.S. public firms linked to EPA-regulated facilities. The primary outcome is observed regulatory compliance strain, measured through log one-plus firm-year ECHO violations/noncompliance in post-2000 outcome rows. The archive includes cleaned firm-year and registry-year analysis panels, replication code, reference outputs, table/figure crosswalks, raw-source provenance, and package manifests.
