Geological 3D model of the “interim area”

The geological model represents the geological structures and rock layers of the area of the intermediate area (area east of Leipzig, on the northern border of Saxony to Brandenburg) in a 3 dimensional space. The geological model of the intermediate mountain range is a basic model that depicts the encountered rock layers from the pretertiary (rock series from proterozoic to mesozoic) to the quaternary. The maximum model depth is 500 m below NN. Furthermore, the model integrates geological disturbances and was created as GOCAD model in version 2009.4.
