Number of animated film imports in China 2015-2021, by country of origin

In 2021, with 15 animated movies combined, U.S. and Japanese production accounted for more than two-thirds of the total number of imported animated movies in China. This considerable share reflects the continuous domination of the U.S. and Japan in the Chinese cinema market.
