资源简介:
Eight pollen and four macrofloral samples were examined from two sites overlooking the modern Skunk Bay, an area formerly occupied by Skunk Creek, a tributary of the Missouri River in North Dakota. Site 32DU396 represents a Besant occupation. A pollen column was studied to provide information concerning paleoenvironmental conditions. In addition, both pollen and macrofloral samples provide the potential for interpretation of subsistence activity associated with features. Nearby site 32DU1154 is represented only by two flotation samples representing burned features. These samples were examined to provide subsistence information.
