Projection of regional Input-Output frameworks and multi-sectoral analysis: An application to the Valencian Community

The availability of regional Input-Output accounting frameworks is essential for analyzing production interdependencies, assessing economic impacts, and designing policies; however, some autonomous communities, such as the Valencian Community, lack this up-to-date information. This study estimates the Input-Output table for this community using the Hyperbolic Tangent Location Quotient technique. The results show a relatively fragmented production structure, although industrial, commercial, logistics, and advanced service sectors stand out for their multiplier effect. The study provides a basis for evaluating economic impacts and designing regional development policies.
