Annual Mangrove Extent and Change Maps from 1988 to 2022 in the Sundarbans
收藏资源简介:
This dataset provides annual maps of mangrove forest extent and change in the Sundarbans region from 1988 to 2022, generated using a time-series analysis of Landsat surface reflectance data. The data were produced using a novel temporal consistency checking algorithm (TCC-CS) that integrates both spectral time-series and classification trajectories to improve detection of true mangrove changes and minimize artifacts caused by classification errors. The dataset includes: Annual mangrove extent maps (1988–2022):Binary raster layers where each pixel is classified as mangrove or non-mangrove for each calendar year. Stored in the file AnnualMangroveMaps.zip. Mangrove change maps from 1988 to 2022:Raster layers indicating loss, gain, or stable mangrove pixels between 1988 and 2022. Stored in the file MangroveChanges.zip. Loss/Gain agent maps:Raster layers identifying dominant processes driving the most recent mangrove loss (e.g., erosion, degradation, aquaculture) and gain. Stored in the file MangroveChanges.zip. Loss/Gain year maps:Raster layers identifying the year the most recent mangrove losss or gain occured. Stored in the file MangroveChanges.zip.
