Carollia castanea Raw sequence reads

The goal of this project was to develop microsatellite markers for the Chestnut short-tailed bat (Carollia castanea) using raw sequence reads generated by Illumina high-throughput sequencing. No microsatellite markers currently exist for this species. New markers developed through this study will faciliate future research on population genetic responses of Carollia castanea to habitat loss and fragmentation and land use change throughout its Neotropical range.
