This study analyces the microbiome of paired root apices and periapical lesions from cases with failed endodontic treatment and to associate the microbiome in both sites with symptomatic apical periodontitis (SAP) and asymptomatic apical periodontitis (AAP), using next-generation sequencing (NGS).
