Sounding Erddig

Open online resource of music and sound recording from Erddig, a National Trust property in North Wales, with associated research data. This website uses pure Javascript to provide interaction with a JSON datafile which contains the records and site configuration. It does not require any database or PHP -- all the searching is done inside the single page. Our working title for the toolkit to make this happen is DATA CAPE. The Sounding Erddig website uses the "Data Cape" framework developed by Christopher Gutteridge and David Pepper of the University of Southampton Research Application Support Team. This dataset was created by the Music, Home and Heritage research project, funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council and carried out in collaboration with staff and volunteers from the National Trust.
