资源简介:
The purpose of an admission register was to record basic details about children admitted to the school, and about their parents or guardians. The registers were also used to record the progress of the children through various classes and the date of their leaving the school. These volumes contain information pertaining to each pupil including: date of admission; pupil's name, date of birth, and religious denomination; and name of previous school. The following details are recorded about the child's parents or guardians: name, residence and occupation. The pupil's date of admission to each subsequent grade, date of leaving the school and any occupation entered into on leaving school are also recorded; this last column is also commonly used to indicate the school to which a pupil may have transferred. The volumes from 1934 to 1957 are numbered 1-6; the others are un-numbered.Entries in these volumes are numbered consecutively from the beginning of the series until the end of 1954; the numbering carries over from volume to volume. The final entry for 1954 bears the number 3796. From the beginning of 1955 the numbering of entries starts anew at the commencement of each school year, and the last two digits of the year-number are added to the entry number as a prefix.
