Interrelationships between pond water and tilapia skin microbiomes in aquaculture ponds in Malawi

This study characterised the microbial assemblages found on tilapia skin and in the surrounding water of seven earthen aquaculture ponds from two geographic regions in Malawi. Metabarcoding approaches were used to sequence the prokaryotic (16S V4, sequencing run files 2716) and microeukaryotic (18S V9, sequencing run files 2725) communities.
