Drug efflux and lipid A modification by 4-L-aminoarabinose are key mechanisms of polymyxin B resistance in the sepsis pathogen Enterobacter bugandensis

To investigate the mechanism of PmB resistance and heteroresistance in Enterobacter bugandensis by analysing the differential gene expression under PmB treatment. Comparative gene expression profiling analysis of RNA-seq data for two Enterobacter bugandensis strains, E105227 and E104107, on presence and absence of the antibiotic PmB. The RNA was extracted from cells growing in exponential phase and 3 replicates were done for each condition and strain.
