Gene set enrichment analysis is a method to identify overrepresented functional classes in sets of genes or proteins. FUNAGE-Pro can uncover biological functions in gene sets derived from differential genes/proteins expression analysis of any bacterial genome. Next to a single list of genes, it support analysis of multiple experiments, time-series, clusters (e.g., k-means clusters) and network modules. For all complete bacterial genomes of RefSeq and Genbank (>50.000) we (re-)constructed databases for nine important functional protein classifications; GO, COG, EggNOG-COG, EggNOG, InterPro, KEGG, PFAM, KEYWORDS and OPERONS.
基因集富集分析(Gene Set Enrichment Analysis)是一种用于在基因或蛋白质集合中识别过度富集功能类别的方法。FUNAGE-Pro可用于挖掘源自任意细菌基因组差异基因/蛋白质表达分析所得基因集合的生物学功能。除支持单基因列表分析外,该工具还可支持多实验、时间序列、聚类(如k-means聚类)及网络模块的分析。针对RefSeq与GenBank收录的超过5万个完整细菌基因组,我们(重新)构建了覆盖九类重要功能蛋白质分类的数据库,涵盖基因本体论(Gene Ontology,GO)、直系同源蛋白簇(Cluster of Orthologous Groups of proteins,COG)、进化基因同源组-直系同源蛋白簇(EggNOG-COG)、进化基因同源组(EggNOG)、InterPro、京都基因与基因组百科全书(Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes,KEGG)、PFAM、关键词注释(KEYWORDS)以及操纵子(OPERONS)。
