Phyllobacterium soli sp nov, a novel species with multifarious activities

Plant growth promotion and biocontrol activities are desired traits to be present in bacterial strains forming part of commercial inoculants. Here, we aimed the selection of bacterial strains able to counteract the negative effects of plant parasitic nematodes (PPNs), such as the pinewood nematode (Bursaphelenchus xylophilus) or the root-knot nematode (Meloidogyne spp).
