Data and code for: "A data-driven assessment of the global community structure of pelagic zooplankton biomass"

The archive is organized into three main components: PREDICTORS/: scripts and outputs used to build environmental predictor principal components (PCA) from gridded climatologies. OBS/: observational biomass datasets and preprocessing scripts used to curate, harmonize, and filter net-based zooplankton observations. ANALYSIS/: notebooks and outputs used to generate biomass climatologies, summary metrics, manuscript figures, and tables. Together, these materials document the workflow used to produce global epipelagic and mesopelagic biomass climatologies for ten zooplankton functional types and to analyze their regional, seasonal, and diversity-related patterns.
