资源简介:
This dataset contains data for effects of oil from surface (OFS) from the Deepwater Horizon oil spill (HEWAF) exposure on various mesocosm experiments. Acute toxicity to larval coral reef fishes was measured as survival rate after 24 hrs. Latent toxicity to larval coral reef fishes was measured as survival rate after 7 days. Settlement patterns of larval reef fishes were measured as settlement choice on low, medium or high complexity coral in a mesocosm. Predator avoidance by larval coral reef fishes was measured as survival rate in the mesocosm 4 hrs after predator release. Boldness of larval coral reef fishes was measured as the tendency to explore new territory in open areas away from shelter (thigmotaxis). Fast start escape performance of larval coral reef fishes was measured using high speed cameras and a mechanical stimulus. Growth rate of larval reef fishes was measured over 7 days in mesocosm with unlimited food and no predators.
