Around 30% of embryos in vitro fertilized (IVF) human embryos irreversibly arrest between the 3-8-cell stage before compaction. This is a significant problem in IVF, and the mechanisms behind this arrest are unclear. We measure the steady-state RNA levels of arrested human embryos and arrested embryos treated with resveratrol in this data set. Our data suggest several mechanisms behind embryonic arrest.
