IQGAP1 is a scaffolding protein that is upregulated in liver cancer. We tested its role in promoting tumor growth using a mouse model of hepatocellular carcinoma initiated by diethylnitrosamine (DEN) injection. IQGAP1-knockout mice, heterozygous mice, and wild-type mice were followed for 50 weeks after DEN injection and tumor burden was assessed.
