Unveiling Floral Diversity in the Brazilian Pampa Biome: Metabarcoding Approach to Apis mellifera

This study uses plant DNA amplicons to identify, through metabarcoding, the types of pollen collected by Apis mellifera in the Pampa biome of southern Brazil. The approach combines traditional palynological analysis with molecular techniques, increasing the accuracy of floral species identification. Sequencing was performed using the Oxford Nanopore platform, enabling real-time and long-read data generation. The resulting data reveal the diversity and frequency of the plants foraged by the bees.
