资源简介:

Environics International Environmental Monitors (EIEM) is a syndicated annual survey of global public opinion on a variety of environmental and natural resource issues. The findings of the 2001 Survey are based on the results of face-to face or telephone interviews with representative samples of about 1,000 citizens in each of 30 countries on six continents, and at varying stages of economic development. This represents about 70% of the world's population. Research was conducted by respected social research institutes in each country between March 29, 2001 and August 25, 2001.

This International Environmental Monitor investigates such topics as threats to future generations, concern about specific environmental issues, scope of concern, effects of environmental problems on human health, energy, and climate change, feelings about empowerment and personal action, environmental performance ratings of various sectors, governance issues, and the chemical and automobile industries. The research builds on four years of tracking data since 1997, as well as from earlier research by others that is now in the public domain. The research also draw upon other research programs: the Corporate Social Responsibility Monitor, the Global Issues Monitor, and the GlobeScan Survey of Sustainability Experts.
