资源简介:
One of the four NRM regions, the Top End is the most heavily populated region with the highest concentration of development activities, but also the largest area of undeveloped coastline and wetland habitat in the Northern Territory.
The highest priority threats to ecosystem health include feral species (primarily water buffalo, cane toads and feral pigs), invasive weed species (particularly Gamba grass and other WoNS), inappropriate fire regimes and climate change. In addressing these regional priorities for the preservation of threatened species and ecological communities, it is essential to not only build community (including indigenous) capacity for on-ground actions but to develop and share a comprehensive knowledge base for all NRM participants.
