The limited pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics profles of polymyxin monotherapynecessitates a detailed understanding of its mechanism of action. Polymyxin combinationtreatment is often employed to enhance polymyxin therapeutic effect and minimise theemergence of resistance. In this study, the effect of polymyxin B (1 mg/L) and rifampicin (2mg/L) mono- and combination therapy on Pseudomonas aeruginosa PAO1 transcriptome wasinvestigated following treatment at 1 hr and 24 hr (n=3).
