Via to Transit Individual Trip Records

The dataset contains every completed Via to Transit trip (N = 229,133). It includes each trip’s request, pick-up, and drop-off times (in minutes), origin and destination geo-coordinate (rounded to 3 decimals), trip distance, number of seats requested, etc. The dataset was obtained directly from King County Metro (KCM) and was used for the transportation simulation in the ‘Supplementing Fixed-Route Transit with Dynamic Shared Mobility Services: A Marginal Cost Comparison Approach’ project. As a requirement to obtain the Via to Transit trip data, the UW research team signed a data sharing agreement, which stated that the dataset is confidential and the researchers of the project must follow non-disclosure rules set by KCM. Therefore, we are prohibited from sharing the dataset.
