Global flow of plastic polymer material 2016

This statistic from McKinsey displays the global flow of plastic polymer materials as of 2016. During this year, about 300 million metric tons of virgin feedstock was produced and of this amount, 260 million metric tons were turned into waste and about 16 percent was then collected for recycling.
