Point surveys of selected plant species outside the Bontanical Reserve, of Addo Elephant National Park (1987-1997)

Nearest plant point surveys were conducted in six matched paires of plots, one member of each pair being inside, and the other outside the botanical Reserve. Plots inside the botanical Reserve were protected against grazing by fences, the plots outside were exposed to grazing. In each plot 100 points were examined and the plant rooted nearest to each point was recorded.The surveys were conducted in the years 1987,1990,1995, and 1997. This data gives the results only for the most common plant species. Further details on the methodology are given in:
