Nature conservation inventory Canton of Schaffhausen

The basic map of the nature conservation inventories was created digitally in 2017-18 on the basis of the existing municipal and cantonal nature conservation inventories and opened in the GIS Schaffhausen at the beginning of 2019. In the present basic plan, in principle, the legally valid and thus legally binding inventories are depicted, except in the case of municipalities of which pre-examinations are available. The basic map of the nature conservation inventories provides an overview of the inventory objects and zones in the canton of Schaffhausen. All objects (according to Art. 8 NHG SH) and zones (according to Art. 7 NHG SH) of the municipal and cantonal nature conservation inventory (according to Art. 6, 6a NHG SH) are displayed. Among the cantonal inventory contents, the directional objects are also listed. The objects and zones are assigned to one of 8 habitat types (dry sites, waters & wetlands, stocking, geotopes, landscapes, specific habitats or other objects). This is based on a uniform cantonal data and presentation model. The basic map of the nature conservation inventories serves municipalities, planners and organisations to consider construction projects. Municipalities get an overview of what to consider in the next zone plan revision.
