VSWI Wetlands Class Layer

This dataset represents wetlands included in Vermont's Significant Wetlands Inventory. The State of Vermont protects wetlands, which provide significant functions and values, and also protects a buffer zone directly adjacent to significant wetlands. Wetlands in Vermont are classified as Class I, II, or III based on the significance of the functions and values they provide. Class I and Class II wetlands provide significant functions and values and are protected by the Vermont Wetland Rules. Any activity within a Class I or II wetland or buffer zone that is not exempt or considered an "allowed use" under the Vermont Wetland Rules requires a permit.本数据集收录佛蒙特州重要湿地名录（Significant Wetlands Inventory）中的湿地信息。佛蒙特州对具备重要功能与价值的湿地予以保护，同时也会保护紧邻重要湿地的缓冲区域。佛蒙特州的湿地根据其提供的功能与价值的重要程度，划分为I类、II类与III类。其中I类与II类湿地具备重要功能与价值，受《佛蒙特州湿地条例》（Vermont Wetland Rules）保护。凡在I类或II类湿地及其缓冲区域内开展的、未获得豁免或不属于《佛蒙特州湿地条例》规定的"允许使用情形"的活动，均需申请相关许可。
