Temporal Parasitemia Dynamics in Plasmodium berghei ANKA-Infected Mice for Experimental Cerebral Malaria Modeling
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains raw parasitemia measurements collected from C57BL/6, CBA, and Swiss Webster mice experimentally infected with Plasmodium berghei ANKA (PbA) to model cerebral malaria. The data were used in the study titled "Temporal Parasitemia Trends Predict Risk and Timing of Experimental Cerebral Malaria in Mice Infected by Plasmodium berghei ANKA." Daily parasitemia levels were quantified from thin blood smears stained with the Panoptic method and examined under light microscopy. Experimental Cerebral Malaria (ECM) development was monitored based on neurological symptoms observed between days 5 and 12 post-infection. Each row in the dataset represents an individual mouse, with columns including strain, ECM status (yes/no), day of ECM onset (if applicable), and parasitemia percentages from day 1 to day 15 post-infection. The dataset was used to develop and validate predictive models of ECM risk and onset using machine learning approaches. This data supports reproducibility and further development of computational tools to predict disease outcomes in experimental models of malaria.
