Fermented feed is an agricultural practice used to improve the growth performance of the farm animals. It is formed by the mixture of bacteria and yeasts that improve the quality of the raw material used in its preparation as well as the sensorial properties contributing also to the intestinal health of animals. Kazachstania unispora IBR014 (Saccharomyces unisporum) was isolated from fermented feed product, it can resist and persist at low pH. The microbiota isolated from fermented feed products can improve the final quality (sensorial and nutritional) that constitutes a biotechnological challenge to increase animal production.
