The file Square 1 km to 1 kilometer Netherlands LAEA contains all squares of 1 km by 1 kilometre above country of the Netherlands, derived by Eurostat. The dataset contains a column whose name indicates the EPSG code of the projection of the underlying area to which the squares refer as rectangular nets (For ETRS89-LAEA that is 3035) and the size of the square (1000 meters by 1000 meters). Each square is assigned a coding derived from the lower left of the square, made up of an East and a North coordinate. Both the x-coordinate and the y-coordinate of the lower left point is a multiple of 1000 meters and is indicated in whole meters. The y-coordinate is displayed as N(orth) and the x-coordinate as E(ast).
