Zandra Rhodes Collections 1979-1987

During the Zandra Rhodes Digital Study Collection project, a list was drawn up by the Digital Cataloguer to enable users to browse the digital images by Fashion Collection. There were several issues and not all of these could be resolved during the project. References for the list of Fashion Collections included a list prepared by a previous member of staff called Jill ('Jill’s List' dated January 2007 was provided as the main reference for cataloguing by Frances Diplock, Metadata Researcher). There was also a list prepared by a student intern which Zandra Rhodes had in her personal diary which I was allowed to photocopy. Other sources of information included ‘The Art of Zandra Rhodes’ book, the Style Bibles, postcards, posters and fashion show invitations held in the Zandra Rhodes Archives in London. A few anomalies (such as re-issued designs, or styles with a different number to the Fashion Collection year such as 82/224 for 1983) were discussed during the project with Frances Diplock, Production Manager and employee since 1976. This dataset now additionally includes information gathered from the press-cuttings and literature review carried out for the research grant.
