Room-temperature magnetic skyrmions in 2D van der Waals materials is of great interest for both topological magnetism and 2D materials. Recently, we have discovered a novel 2D material Fe3GaTe2, which present magnetic skyrmions at room temperature. However, their detailed internal skyrmion texture, as well as their 3D configuration is unknown, resulting in an unclear skyrmion-formation mechanism in such material. We propose to perform systematic REXS measurement that can unambiguously reveal these key information, aiming to report the first 2D material that hosts room-temperature skyrmions with sub-100 nm size at zero field.
