This database contains particle-level information (i.e., size, normalized elemental % values, estimated volume and mass, inferred mineralogy class) on 171 respirable dust samples collected in 25 underground mines in the United States. The data was obtained using two different computer controlled SEM-EDX routines to analyze submicron ("sub") and supramicron ("supra") particles. Information on the mines and underground sampling locations is available in: E. Sarver, C. Keles, S, Ghaychi Afrouz, Particle size and mineralogy distributions in respirable dust samples from 25 US underground coal mines, Int. J.
