Systemic identification of Salmonella ProQ mutant proteins with impaired regulatory activity

The goal of the study was to identify residues in the RNA-binding protein ProQ which contribute to the protein's regulatory capacity. This was achieved by combining saturation mutagenesis, phenotypic single cell sorting and long-read sequencing.
