GEOHEAT-APP Temperature

With the cross-border Interreg project “GEOHEAT-APP”, VITO, Grontik and TNO sought to assess the concrete feasibility of (deep) geothermal systems in the border region of Vlaanderen-Nederland. Deep geothermal is spoken when the heat is extracted from layers deeper than 500 m. These maps are grids representing the temperature (°C) of the top of the following 4 potential reservoirs in cells from 250 m to 250 m: Chalk, Trias, Westfaliaan D and Dinantian.
