Jaculus jaculus were split into three experimental groups: control (water access ad libitum), dehydrated (11 days water restriction), and rehydrated (7 days water restriction followed by 3 days water ad libitum). Kidney samples were extracted and sequenced to investigate changes in gene expression during osmotic challenge in a desert adapted model.
