Supplementary Prompt Material for "Evaluating Prompt Strategies for LLM-Based De-Identification of German Discharge Letters: A Feasibility Study Using GraSCCo"

This repository contains the prompt material used in the study “Evaluating Prompt Strategies for LLM-Based De-Identification of German Discharge Letters: A Feasibility Study Using GraSCCo,” accepted as a full paper at ICIMTH 2026. The document includes the German prompts used for the baseline, session-isolated, structured-input, and optimized-prompt setups, as well as English translations for readability. The German prompts represent the experimentally evaluated versions. The English translations were not evaluated experimentally and are provided only to support transparency and international interpretation of the prompt design. The prompts were developed for de-identification of synthetic German discharge letters from the GraSCCo corpus using the GeMTeX de-identification guideline.
