God Bore Witness to Himself and Called Us to Witness The Philosophy of Witnessing in the Monotheistic Covenant: From Shahada to Ishhadu

This research presents a novel ontological reading of the concept of witnessing (Shahada) in the Quranic text, moving beyond traditional jurisprudential or theological exegesis to establish a Philosophy of Monotheistic Witnessing. The study employs a Symbolic-Ontological methodology, formulating an existential equation (B + F = NF) to deconstruct the structure of human and cosmic existence. Here, (B) denotes silent functional processing, (F) represents witnessing sovereignty (the existential veto), and (NF) signifies the eternal narrative imprint. Starting from the foundational verse Allah bears witness [Al Imran: 18], the research establishes witnessing as the primary existential act. It traces this through the Covenant of Alast [Al-A'raf: 172] as the first exercise of sovereignty, culminating in the divine command Bear witness as a perpetual existential mandate, and concluding with The Final Fracture at the moment of death, where witnessing reaches its supreme manifestation. The study concludes that in the Quranic paradigm, humanity is not merely a thinking being, but a witnessing being, created to leave an imprint and resist the void of silence and nothingness.
