The SIGPAC is the Geographical Identification System of Agricultural Plots through which farmers and farmers must make applications for Community aid linked to the area. The implementation of this system of identification of agricultural parcels meets a Community requirement for all Member States. The SIGPAC starts to be used from 1 February 2005, coinciding with the start of the deadline for applying for Community aid during the 2005/2006 marketing year.
