Howeth_etal_raw_haplotype_by_crayfish.txt: This is the raw sample data for the paper that can be used to recreate all community analyses. The file has sequence and sample IDs, site description, habitat type (pond or stream), the site number that corresponds to the site description table in the manuscript SI, estimated pond formation year, watershed (BWS=Black Warrior South, BWN=Black Warrior North, Cahaba=Cahaba), OTU haplogroup and within-OTU haplotype, and the 547bp DNA barcode sequence.

Howeth_etal_OTU_SpeciesNameUsed.txt: Link between OTU haplogroup and the morphology determined species identity. Note that some species are represented by &gt;1 OTU, and represent possible species complexes.

Howeth_etal_OTUBySiteHabitat.txt: Counts of each OTU/species by site and habitat type.

Howeth_etal_OTUhaplotypeBySiteHabitat.txt: Counts of each OTU haplotype by site and habitat type.

Howeth_etal_OTUByWatershed.txt: Counts of each OTU/species by watershed.

Howethetal_SiteEnvironment_FishSpp.xlsx: An excel file with two worksheets. The "Environment" sheet contains study site name, habitat type, watershed affiliation (corresponding to USGS Hydrologic Unit Code 12), geographic coordinates, year of pond formation, and measured environmental variables for sites sampled in the study. Values represent the average of three sampling periods conducted from April 13, 2016 to January 11, 2017 with the exception of pond area, which was measured once in spring 2016. The "Fish_Species" sheet contains the study site name, habitat type, and fish species abundance for sites sampled in the study. Values represent the average abundance from three sampling periods conducted from May 4, 2016 to February 4, 2017.
